Evie Clair is a small-town girl with big-time dreams.

The kindhearted 13-year-old recently stepped on stage at “America’s Got Talent,” but first, she explained to Simon why she decided to audition.

Not only has it always been Evie’s dream to sing, but her family is going through the unthinkable. About a year ago, Evie’s father was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. Despite his illness, he continues to work at the local prison and provide for the family. “I’m here to sing for him,” she said through the tears.

Evie chose to sing “Arms” by Christina Perry, a song that is particularly meaningful to her and her father. “When my dad is having rough days, then I go to his room and sing this song just to give him comfort and give him strength to keep fighting.”

Evie dedicated her emotional performance to her dad, who watched from side stage with tears in his eyes. Once she locked eyes with him, she was ready to give it her all.

But just wait until you hear her voice. You’re not only about to fall in love with Evie for her story, but also for her talent.
