Host Cries On Live TV After 30 People Nominated Mom With Incurable Cancer For Special Day

by Nicole Cannizzaro
Nicole is a writer who studied journalism. She loves music and spending time with her family.

In 2015, Erin Ludwig was breastfeeding her daughter Aubrey when she felt a lump.

Her trip to the doctor confirmed her and her husband Jason’s biggest fear: She had breast cancer.

Through treatment, and her second diagnosis of incurable cancer after her breast cancer spread, she continued to be the loving, caring, inspiring person that everyone around her loved.

So during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when The Today Show asked their viewers to write to them about the special people they know who are battling the disease, over 30 people wrote about Ludwig.

She was chosen to be honored on their show, and given a few surprises.

Her first surprise, the only thing she asked for, was a family portrait — something so simple and not considered a “wish” to most, but so special and sentimental for her.

Their photo shoot is beautiful, and watching her family interact is a bit emotional after seeing how hard her battle has been.

But the surprises continued for this deserving woman.

When she gets home after the photo shoot, she walks into a surprise party full of everyone she loves.

Then Hoda and the rest of The Today Show continue to make sure this day is perfect for Ludwig, and I think they accomplished their goal flawlessly.

Seeing the smile and tears on Ludwig’s face will bring the same emotions to your own.

Please SHARE this beautiful mom and her special day with all of your loved ones!
