Sometimes embarrassing moments are inevitable. Nobody wants to feel red-faced, but things don’t always go according to plan and embarrassing moments happen!

In fact, according to a study conducted by The Parthenon Co, the average American feels embarrassed at least once a week. The 2,000 people surveyed noted that the situations that made them feel most embarrassed included dropping things, saying something inappropriate, tripping, and health-related matters.

In general, being out of one’s comfort zone is more likely to lead to an embarrassing situation. Sixty percent of those surveyed noted that they often feel embarrassed when they are anxious in new and unusual environments.

We’ve all experienced an awkward situation where a fart has accidentally slipped out, and those surveyed are no different. According to the results, 45% of Americans have made a ‘silent but deadly’ fart, and 32% have accidentally farted while coughing. Hey, it happens!

At the end of the day, embarrassing moments will happen, but it helps to know that you’re not the only one experiencing them.
