Talk about going out for a stroll.

Except that stroll is walking across the entire country for a good cause.

That’s exactly what 11-year-old Noah Barnes is doing.

Noah has been walking across the country since New Year’s Day, starting in Key West, Florida, and has just made it to Kansas City.

The point for all this? To raise money to help fund research for juvenile diabetes.  When Noah was just a small baby, he was diagnosed with the disease. Now at just 11 years old, Noah is walking for the cause, and has already raised $15,000.

Noah’s father is beyond words of his son’s drive and dedication.

According to Fox 4, he said, “As a father, you can’t be any prouder. You know, he’s 11. He has no concept on what he’s doing for engaging the diabetes community and pulling this all together. Yeah, I can’t be any prouder.”

Noah, along with his father, mother, and two siblings Angela and John, all live out of their Jeep Wrangler as they make their way to the west coast. The family dog is also in tow for the ride as well.

Noah has also vastly increased his walking speed over the course of the last couple of months. He can now average 25 miles a day on foot.
