Waiter Fights Back Tears When Repeat Customer Calls Him Outside To Hand Over Keys To A Car

We’ve all probably had exceptional service at a restaurant at some point. This could range from a server going out of his or her way to make an order perfect, to just a nice, smiling face greeting you when you sit down.

Edward Pollard frequently pops into a local eatery for lunch during the workday and requests a specific server each time because of how wonderful he is.

“This gentleman takes such pride in his work. He is always extremely polite and conversational,” Edward wrote on Facebook. “The kind of person who instantly can put a smile on your face.”

Edward also always saw this man on his way home from working a shift. Instead of getting into a car and driving home, Edward watched him walk to and from the bus stop.

“I have seen him walking in the blazing summer heat and I have seen him walking in the harsh cold winter,” Edward explained. “No matter his circumstances when I see him at work he is always upbeat and a joy to be around.”

That outlook on life inspired Edward to do something kind for his waiter. Instead of just leaving a hefty tip on his meals, Edward surprised the man with a car! On January 2, 2018, Edward went to the restaurant and had his server come outside.

“See that car right there?” Edward asked him. “That’s your car!”

The waiter hugged Edward and began crying over his amazing generosity. Edward even made sure the car had a tune-up and was in perfect condition. See the entire surprise in the footage below.
