In 1963, the very first Easy-Bake Oven was released. The toy used light bulbs as heat sources to cook small baked goods.

The iconic toy became a huge hit, and by 1997, more than 16 million Easy-Bake Ovens had been sold!

Here’s the general gist of how the toy works, for anyone who isn’t familiar: Kids use specially prepared mixes to create something small, like a tiny cake or brownies, then they put the pan into the oven, and it comes out the other side fully cooked!

Over the years, the toy oven has come in 11 different models. Now the Easy-Bake Oven has gotten a sleek makeover (and it uses an actual heating element now, not a light bulb).

It’s also super affordable!

Right now, the Easy-Bake Oven is on sale at Walmart for just $34.97. While it usually costs $58.85, it’s on sale for less than $35 now!

Still wondering if the toy is worth it? The more than 200 five-star reviews should convince you! Here’s what customers had to say:

“Our 6 year old granddaughter is in love with this item. She is always in the kitchen helping me to cook and we thought this would make her feel a little more ‘grown up’ to have her own little oven and she absolutely loves it. So glad we purchased it for her.”

“My daughter is 10 and loves this oven. We have had a lot of fun baking in it. It is easy to use but you [definitely] have to supervise because several times the cake pan doesn’t make it all [the] way into the oven.”

So what are you waiting for? Go buy this fun oven for the kids in your life!
