Drew Barrymore Is Getting Her Own Talk Show In 2020 And Says ‘It Is Beyond My Wildest Dreams’

Drew Barrymore is coming to daytime TV! The actress recently announced she will be heading her own talk show, set to debut in the fall of 2020.

“It is beyond my wildest dreams to have this opportunity for a daily talk show,” she said in an official statement. “I’m truly thrilled and honored to be creating this show with CBS.”

CBS is looking forward to bringing “a breath of fresh air” with this addition to its lineup.

Drew initially pitched the idea of a daytime talk show to Warner Bros. in 2016, but the idea never truly gelled. Hopefully, this new daytime show will give fans of the recently cancelled Santa Clarita Diet the dose of Drew they’ve been missing.

Her show is one of a handful of projects the actress, producer, and designer currently has up her sleeve. In recent months, Drew has produced TLC’s Rattled and VH1’s Tough Love, and she is also signed on as a producer of the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot, due in theaters November 15.

The actress and producer is known for her infectious positive energy, which she regularly shares via her Instagram account. She recently shared a playlist filled with her favorite songs for autumn.

Drew also constantly offers followers refreshing and honest glimpses into her life and her passions. She claims to “love and live” for magazines and that books are her “life long boyfriend.”

Drew is definitely busy. In addition to producing television shows and movies, she recently sat down with the editor of Elle Decor for a feature in the magazine.

She is also the face of a home decor line called Flower Home, which is part of her Flower by Drew brand collection. The home decor line boasts beautiful, brightly colored items that incorporate Drew’s signature upbeat style. It offers items for both children and adults.

The Flower collection also includes decor and items for those other babies in your home: your pets! Drew said, “I’ve always wanted to design a line for pets!”

While the nature of Drew’s talk show is still under wraps, it won’t be a surprise if parenthood is a recurring topic. Drew often speaks about her kids, and she shares projects and special events that they take part in.

While she’s no stranger to sharing her parenthood stories, Drew is famously private about showing her children’s faces on social media. When reflecting on her own childhood spent in the public eye, Drew has said, “Becoming emancipated at 14, my life wasn’t normal. I didn’t have to go to school, so I didn’t.”

She does occasionally post photos of her daughters when it feels really important to her, like this Mother’s Day 2019 shot she shared. When her daughters do make an appearance online, their faces are usually obscured.

Drew’s positive energy extends to relationships with all kinds of four-legged friends. She recently shared a photo of herself hanging out with a mouse and bird, akin to a modern-day Snow White.

Drew’s next project is serving as producer of the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot. The original movie starred Drew alongside Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu as the title characters.
