Dolly Parton shared a special moment with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday, and it was quite the sight to see!

Dolly received the MusiCares Person of the Year award this year, so she was the guest of honor all weekend long. Several artists performed in a special Grammys tribute to the country legend, including Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, and more. The performance was so amazing! You have to see it to believe it.

When it was Miley Cyrus’ turn to duet with her beloved godmother onstage, the performance was electric. You could really feel the special bond the two share.

The pair has been incredibly close since Miley’s childhood.

Miley and Dolly performed a duet of “Jolene” together, then shared a touching embrace.

Dolly also enjoyed a longer tribute performance at the MusiCares gala on Friday night.

Sunday night marked the first time that Dolly has taken the Grammys stage in 18 years. The singer has eight Grammy awards and 47 nominations under her belt. Dolly kept true to her roots in a beautiful, white, lacey, and sparkly jumpsuit and her signature hairstyle. Miley joined in on the fashion fun with a gorgeous gold pantsuit of her own.

It’s easy to see that these two share something special! To see what Dolly had to say about Miley’s tribute, watch below!
