Dolly Parton Is Working On A Lifestyle Brand That Includes Fashion And Homeware

There are few figures in the music business as beloved as Dolly Parton. It’s likely that’s because, in her six-decade run in the industry, she’s accomplished so much while still being down to earth.

Dolly is a singer, songwriter, and producer, but she’s also much more. She’s also been an actress, an author, a fashion icon, and a businesswoman. Dolly’s theme park, Dollywood, is the biggest ticketed attraction in Tennessee. Now Dolly’s looking to expand her talents in another direction.

In a recent press release, Dolly announced that she’s teaming up with IMG as “her first exclusive global licensing representative.” Together with IMG, Dolly plans to put out a lifestyle line that includes fashion, accessories, and homewares.

If you’re excited about the idea of outfitting yourself and your home in all things Dolly, you’re not alone. In the statement, Dolly wrote, “I am excited to be working with IMG on a global scale to give my fans products that they will cherish for years to come. You might even see my mug on a mug!”

Dolly Parton isn’t just the fairy godmother of the country music world. She’s a beloved icon worldwide.

Dolly has worn many hats over the course of her decades-long career. She’s created unforgettable moments in music on her own and with her peers.

There is no way to understate Dolly’s accomplishments in the music business. She’s won eight Grammys and had 26 songs hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Dolly’s also a businesswoman. Her theme park, Dollywood, is the biggest ticketed attraction in Tennessee.

Dollywood recently celebrated a huge expansion. The expansion, called Wildwood Grove, cost a cool $37 million dollars to build.

Dolly also has a Netflix series that’s coming soon. Heartstrings will be based on Dolly’s music and feature her in voice-overs, as well as in one of the eight episodes.

It seems like Dolly’s got a pretty full plate. Still, she managed to add another project that fans are going to love.

IMG’s vice president of licensing, Gary Krakower, also expressed his vision for Dolly’s line in the statement. “Dolly Parton is an international icon and we are thrilled to be working with her,” he began.

“Together, we look forward to building cohesive lifestyle brand products that will celebrate Dolly and bring her iconic style and personality to her millions of fans worldwide in engaging new ways,” the statement concluded. It’s surely exciting for her fans to be able to bring another little piece of Dolly into their homes.
