Abandoned Dog Rescued After One Week Without Food Or Water

Every day, unwanted pets are discarded like trash. These pets tend to be elderly or sick, but are sometimes even newborn puppies or kittens that can’t be cared for.

Whatever the pet, there is simply no reason why an animal should be disposed of in such a way. It’s a cruel to get rid of another being, whom others would gladly consider as a member of their families. There are humane ways to let go of a pet, such as dropping him or her off at a shelter, where there are services that will benefit that animal.

We find it simply outrageous that a person would abandon an animal in the middle of nowhere, but leaving that animal tied to a tree is extreme abuse.

This is what happened to Honey Bear, a golden retriever mix. She was abandoned, going without food or water for a week. One woman heard her cries, but she wasn’t found until a week later.

Honey Bear was rescued, and is being fostered by her rescuer’s neighbor. While she looks happy and healthy, she still needs medical attention for a variety of conditions. You can help Honey Bear by donating to the GoFundMe page set up to help her.
