Dog Digs Through Deep Snow To Free 2 Buried Chickens Before Nudging The Freezing Birds To Safety

by Jess Butler
Jess is a curly-haired Jersey girl who adores penguins and watches the worst reality shows on TV.

Whenever one hears about snow rescues, they usually involve Good Samaritans, the police, or a special forces team. This time around, it’s all about a smart dog named Chase.

You see, Chase was trained by his owners to help other animals around the farm. So, when a couple of chickens found themselves trapped in the deep, heavy snow, Chase was on the case!

In the video below, we see Chase’s entire snow rescue, which occurred in February 2017.

Chase walks up to a patch of snow that looks to be at least a foot-and-a-half deep. With some encouragement from his owner, he starts digging. The sweet canine sifts through the white snow and pushes piles of it away from the birds.

Soon, he frees one chicken while his owner reminds him to be gentle. The intelligent dog nudges the chicken over to the side toward his owner, then he keeps digging.

In a matter of moments, the dog frees the second chicken from the snow and pushes the bird toward his owner once again.

The owner, who has been filming everything, finishes the job by bringing the chickens inside a warm coop.

Check out this dog in action in the video below, and please SHARE if you’re glad he’s trained to help his fellow animals when times get tough!
