Our pups do some of the funniest things sometimes, and if you’re a pet owner, you’ve likely observed your furry friend attempting to pull some sneaky moves behind your back.

After months of wondering what was wrong with their mousetraps, one dog’s owners realized just how crafty their dog could be when they caught him in the act.

The owners had set up the mousetraps using peanut butter as bait. Every time they did so, they later found that the peanut butter had mysteriously disappeared, but no mouse had been caught.

It certainly wasn’t normal, so they set up a hidden camera in a cupboard, where they’d placed the trap.

One day, they heard the snap of the device and rushed to see whether it had done its job. But instead, they saw their dog licking the peanut butter! Luckily, all this time, he hadn’t been harmed — though his nose could have easily been caught.

With this mystery solved, hopefully the couple found another way to keep their smart pup out of the cupboard.

Now watch the clip below to see him sneak into the tiny space for a treat. How did this go unnoticed for so long, and how on earth did this lucky dog avoid injury every time?
