When Daniel Ashimine parked his car behind his restaurant, he never expected a thief to get in and drive away in it.
But it wasn’t the car that Daniel cared about. It was his dog, Holly, who was stuck inside with the robber.
“Man, I had a heart attack!” he said of the incident. “I don’t care about my car, I really love my dog!”
The thief ended up ditching the car in a neighborhood where an eagle-eyed resident noticed that the vehicle had been totaled. She called the police, and cops apprehended the criminal.
When they retrieved the car two days after it had been stolen, however, Holly was no longer inside.
The man admitted that he had dumped the dog in a homeless camp, and cops relayed the information to Daniel. The owner didn’t hesitate to go there himself. He dropped everything and, within five minutes, was scouring the camp for signs of Holly.
Luckily, he didn’t have to look for long. It turns out that the dog was looking for her owner, too.
He reported that she fell asleep right away. The loyal pup must not have slept for the two days she had to spend without her owner!
Now, the two are happy to be together again, and Daniel is very grateful for the Good Samaritans who helped him find his dog.
Please SHARE if you’re glad Holly is safe at home, where she belongs!
