Couple’s Dog Blends In So Well With Their Carpet That They Say They Trip Over Him All The Time

When Harley Edmonds and Matthew Young moved in together, they didn’t realize they were going to have a problem.

There was nothing wrong with their relationship — just with their carpet! The couple purchased a large, slate gray deep pile rug last year to give their home a cozier feel and to fill in some of the empty space.

What they couldn’t anticipate was how well their pooch, Marley, would blend in with the fabric.

In fact, the 2-year-old Borkie (beagle/Yorkie mix) is so perfectly camouflaged by the carpet that his owners often trip over him when he’s lounging on the floor.

Harley and Matthew remarked that the dog’s fur is exactly the same texture and color as the carpet, and it doesn’t help that the carpet is one of the pooch’s favorite places to snuggle up!

Now, they have to be extra careful when walking across it. If Marley is particularly quiet or if it’s in the middle of the night when he’s totally invisible, the couple can easily trip over him.

This also means that Harley and Matthew regularly panic, thinking that Marley has run away when he’s really right there, under their noses! It’s lucky that these two have a great sense of humor about the whole situation.

Please SHARE if you’re glad your pup doesn’t blend into the background as well as Marley!
