With Christmas swiftly approaching, most of us have already dug up our many boxes of beloved decorations.

But for those looking to revitalize their holiday decor — specifically with some homemade pieces, like these adorable DIY ornaments — it can be hard finding projects that are both easy and cheap.

That’s why I love this incredible DIY Yule log project, created by Michelle from the Painted Hinge!

With just an old piece of wood and a few supplies, Michelle was able to make an adorable, inexpensive, and very festive decoration — just in time for the holidays!

And with a conversation piece as fascinating as a Yule log — which has long symbolized winter and the 12 days of Christmas — it’s sure to impress visiting family and friends.
