Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s officially candy season!
Obviously, we love eating candy all year round, but Halloween seems to be the holiday when it’s most acceptable.
It’s really easy to find candy to buy, but every single year, when I go to buy a bag of Halloween candy, I’m astounded by how expensive it is.
I’ve been trying to do more DIY projects this year, both to save money and to hone my skills, so instead of buying a whole bunch of sweet treats for Halloween, I’m going to make them!
If you’ve ever considered making your own candy but decided against it because “it’s too hard,” I get it. Boiling sugar, tempering chocolate, and making caramels all seem quite daunting — but it’s actually easier than you might realize.
And if making DIY candy kind of scares you, this is the perfect recipe to start with.
All you need are a few simple ingredients — the kind you can probably pick up at a local grocery or craft store — and a little patience, and you can make these adorable DIY sprinkle lollipops!
Read the recipe card below and print it out if you’re excited to make your own sprinkle lollipops. You can even get your kids or grandkids involved with picking out their favorite types of sprinkles!
