With the arrival of summer, I have definitely been on the lookout for cool DIY home decor ideas that I can try.

I love any chance to make my house a little more summery, and I think I’ve come across the perfect project!

In this exclusive video, you’ll see just how easy it is to make a DIY nautical rope wreath. It only requires a handful of inexpensive supplies, and a few very simple steps.

  • Foam wreath form
  • 100-foot sisal rope
  • Hot-glue gun
  • Ribbon
  • Seashell decor

  1. Wrap the rope around the entire foam wreath, hot gluing as you go.
  2. Use extra rope to cover corners that are still visible.
  3. Decorate by hot gluing seashell decor to the wreath.
  4. Add a ribbon loop at the top of the wreath.
  5. Hang and enjoy!

This nautical rope wreath is the perfect summer touch for any home or beach house. It would look great hanging in the front hall or directly over the fireplace.

And this project is easy enough that you can try it with any kids you may have in your life. My nieces and nephews would absolutely love making a rope wreath!
