Since I’m constantly adding new jewelry to my collection, and constantly running out of space, I absolutely love this brilliant DIY tutorial. Here, Michele Baratta demonstrates how to create a DIY Jewelry Stand using plates and candle holders straight from the Dollar Store. This is such a fun and easy project — not to mention, it’s as inexpensive to make as it is lovely.

Here are the items you’ll need:

  • Glass candle holders and dishes
  • Spray paint
  • Mod podge/paintbrush
  • Trash bags
  • Acrylic paint sealer
  • Glue gun/sticks
  • Faux pearls
  • Wooden beads

“No one would ever know these are from The Dollar Store,” Michele says. And you know what? I totally, completely agree. The best part is you can customize your stand with any color of paint, then finish it off with the beading and decorations of your choice. I personally love Michele’s teal stand, which would go perfectly with my bedroom decor.
