When it starts to get chilly this time of year, there’s nothing that I love more than whipping up a few delicious, cold-weather meals.

Whether I’m just cooking for myself to prepare my lunches for the week ahead, or I’m throwing together a tasty dessert for all of my friends to enjoy, there’s nothing like cooking to relax and keep cozy.

That said, cooking isn’t all fun and games. You have to be careful and know your kitchen safety, or it can be easy to end up with a burn, or even worse, a nasty scratch from a kitchen knife. Fortunately, I just found out about a super-simple way to avoid knife mishaps in the kitchen, and it’s going to completely change the way that I prepare meals.

In my experience, most knife slip-ups happen when you’re chopping, and the cutting board slips out from under you. This is dangerous for the chef, and it’s not great for the food either.

But stopping your cutting board from sliding away is simple! It’s actually just a matter of giving your board a better grip on the table.
