She Cuts The Sleeves Off An Old Button-Down Shirt To Make A DIY Apron

If your closet is anything like mine, it’s more full of old clothes you can’t bear to get rid of than it is clothes you actually wear.

Sure, I’ve heard how cleansing it is to completely trash your old wardrobe and exchange it for a new one. However, some of those items hold a lot of sentimental value.

When you hit this roadblock, what are you to do?

One solution is to turn those old clothes into something else that you will actually use. Maybe you have an old T-shirt that is never going to fit you again, but it was given to you by a close friend right before they moved away. You could turn that nice, soft, cotton T-shirt into, say, a pillow for your sofa!

This DIY project is perfect for those who go overboard with button-up shirts.

Everyone should have an apron in their kitchen, even if you know you’re only ever going to use that stove to scramble eggs or store the muffin trays you’re never going to use. You never know when you’ll want to make sure you don’t ruin your clothes while you’re cooking up those perfect scrambled eggs. However, not everyone wants to spend money on a brand-new one.

All you need to make your very own apron out of an old shirt is a pair of scissors, some fabric glue, and a bit of rope. Just follow the simple instructions, and you’re good to go!
