John Kovach Jr. is a 26-year veteran of the Lorain Police Department in Ohio. On April 16, 2018, the officer pulled over a silver car for a traffic stop. Meanwhile, dispatchers were trying to get in touch with the officer about a nearby road rage incident, but he didn’t respond — and he didn’t tell the dispatchers he was pulling over a car, either.

As it turned out, the officer had tracked this particular silver vehicle after tracing his 18-year-old daughter’s computer to her friend’s home.

Inside the silver car? John’s daughter Katlyn, her 18-year-old boyfriend Makai, and their friend.

In footage recorded by the squad car’s dashcam, John tells Makai he’s going to jail and instructs him to get out of the vehicle. Makai does as he’s told, but asks why he is being pulled over. The officer responds by saying, “Have a seat in my car. We’ll make [expletive] up as we go.”

But the situation was about to take a different turn. You see, it’s been reported that John does not approve of Katlyn’s relationship with Makai — and the police department began to realize the officer wasn’t using his power for good.
