Adorable Tiny Kitten Was Pulled From Church’s Rubble

by Grace Eire
Grace plays in a band and is the mother to a black cat named Fitzhugh.

When a church was demolished in Nova Scotia, everything seemed to be going according to plan. Then, to everyone’s surprise, a tiny kitten came climbing out of the rubble.

Dubbed “Digger,” this little fella wasn’t about to give up on life. He suffered a fractured hind leg and had missing skin on two of his toes on his other paw. One of his front legs was also sore from the incident, leaving him with only one good leg. That wasn’t about to stop him, though.

Once workers saw the fight to survive in the tiny kitten, they called Animals in Need to give him a second chance at life.

This little guy fought through all the pain without a peep of complaint.

His doctors predicted that it would be months before Digger was out and about and back to his playful self, since he had casts on both of his back legs. But even before the casts were taken off, Digger just couldn’t put his life on hold anymore, and he returned to his normal kitten antics!

Then, to his doctor’s surprise, the casts were ready to come off only a month after they were put on.

This fluffy fighter emerged from a potentially deadly situation, and has come out with his paws swinging! He’s a great inspiration to those who are working through their own tough times. As long as there is a will to keep living, you just might be able to surprise your doctors with your healing. A healthy attitude really does go a long way for a body on the mend!

Digger is now in his loving forever home, climbing all of the furniture with gusto.

Please SHARE Digger’s story if you want to bring awareness to more animals in need like him.
