Most of us don’t like the sound of our own voice — I know I cringe every time I have to listen to a recording of myself talking.

Thankfully, I don’t have to listen to myself talk very often.

However, Destinee Cordova does.

Destinee has over 300,000 subscribers on YouTube, where she makes humor and makeup videos for her audience.

Destinee says most of the feedback she gets is positive — but recently, she’s been noticing that more and more bullies are attacking her for one thing in particular: her voice.

In an appearance on The Doctors, Destinee revealed that she’s had dozens of commenters tell her she “talks like a boy” or “sounds like a man,” due to her deep voice and vocal fry.

Destinee even said that people on the phone often think she’s a man if they don’t know who they’re talking to.

The hosts of The Doctors introduced Destinee to Roger Love, a celebrity voice coach, to see if he could help. Upon meeting her, Roger immediately called Destinee’s voice “a character” and said she was using it to “mask” her real voice.

So, Roger and Destinee embarked on some serious vocal training to find out what Destinee’s voice was made of — and to give her a total voice makeover.

Check out the video below to hear the amazing results of Destinee’s voice makeover — she sounds like a totally different person!

Is this something you would ever do?
