A bride’s wedding day is emotional for millions of reasons, but one of those many reasons is definitely the fact that she’s officially a woman and will no longer live with her parents (usually).

The love of her life that was once her father, is now her husband.

Below, you will be introduced to Alicia McDermott-Yanik, a young woman about to get married to the love of her life. Although this is a happy day devoted to the love of Alicia and her new husband, she wants to make sure that her dad is still a huge part in it all.

The only problem is that Mike McDermott, Alicia’s father, passed away months before the big day.

Knowing she now had no one to dance to a father-daughter song with, she decided to make something even more special in memory of her father.

So, her sister made a video full of the memories that Alicia and her father shared over the years, but what’s so special about these memories is what accompanies them: the song that Alicia wrote and sang herself, for her father.

Watch this heartfelt video made by sisters Alicia and Whitney, listen to these relatable lyrics, and just wait for your emotions to get the best of you.
