Tiny Ballerina Freezes Onstage So Dad Rushes In Without Missing A Beat

We’ve got a strong contender for Dad of the Year on our hands with Bermuda father Marc Daniels.

The self-employed barrister was backstage at the dress rehearsal for his daughter Bella’s May 29 ballet recital when the 2-year-old suddenly caught a bad case of stage fright, bursting into tears mid-routine.

“Bella was very emotional and needed hugs from her daddy,” the dad of three told the Daily Mail. “Despite having a tantrum, I can tell she wanted to stay on stage and I didn’t want to discourage her before the big performance by making her be the only one to come off.”

Since he had no time to give Bella a pep talk, Marc decided to take a different, more entertaining approach to calming the toddler’s nerves.

“I told her I loved her and that she’s an amazing dancer,” he explained.

“I asked if she wanted to dance with Daddy and she nodded, so I thought I’d join in.”

And join in he did — all while holding his youngest daughter, Suri, in his arms.

“I’ve practiced with [the girls] at home on many occasions so it wasn’t unfamiliar to me,” he told the British tabloid. No wonder his form was so good!
