Dad Pays Daughter For His Own Lemonade, But She Doesn’t Give It To Him Anyway

Although dads may get a bad rap for being less warm and affectionate than mothers, anyone who is close with their papa knows that those are just ugly stereotypes.

Much can be made about the special relationship between fathers and sons, but Timothy Soldan’s relationship with his 2-year-old daughter, Gabrielle, demonstrates the chaotically playful bond between dads and daughters.

For any doting father, a child’s urgency will make him bend over backwards to please. Perhaps it’s because every parent knows that the youth of their tiniest children is fast and fleeting.

Every father and daughter relationship evolves uniquely, but we’re certain the most memorable moments happen during those “diaper days.” The video below demonstrates the very  bond that I still cherish between me and my dad.

Timothy Soldan records Gabrielle as she walks up to him. She says that he owes her 25 cents for a cup of his own lemonade. Her adorable — and business savvy move — makes the father quickly oblige. However, does she complete the transaction and give the good dad what he pays for? I think not. She trots off with the money and the lemonade.

This sweet, simple moment can remind us all of what our parents have done (and continue to do) for us.
