The dachshund has long been a highly respected breed of dog. From the proud puppies of today all the way to the British hunters of the last century, these dogs have been celebrated by countless people over multiple generations.

The breed was originally developed and bred to hunt down foxes and badgers in their vast dens underground. These brave animals had to be prepared to go into the dark caverns of these animals, squeezing into tight and dark places without getting nervous or claustrophobic!

It’s said that this cumpulsion to enjoy tight spaces is so bred into the fabric of what makes these dogs happy, that even if you never plan to use these dogs for their hunting skills, you can get some kind of large pipe to watch them have fun with!

This group of puppies may only be 7 weeks old, but when you watch them push through the pipe, it becomes obvious how strong their instincts to burrow really are! Not only are they adorable, but they’re brave, too!

Just as long as you keep a close eye on them to make sure they don’t get stuck, these little puppies are about as happy as a dog could possibly get!
