The 2018 Winter Olympics are two weeks underway, and we’ve already seen so many amazing American athletes. While plenty of fans have been kept on the edge of their seats watching Team USA bring home medal after medal, not everyone is entertained.

The US Olympic curling team is in Pyeongchang, South Korea, battling it out for the gold — but actress Kirstie Alley couldn’t be more unimpressed. In a since-deleted tweet, the actress wrote, “Im [sic] not trying to be mean but…… Curling is boring.”

As someone who is a huge fan of curling and follows it as closely as some people do football and baseball, I was completely offended by her remarks — and I wasn’t the only one!

Even the Olympic team didn’t let her comment go unnoticed and decided to fire back at Kirstie! On February 19, 2018, the team wrote back to her and said, “We’re not trying to be mean either but your movies weren’t exactly riveting theater Kirstie” — ouch!

Even the legendary Mr. T came out to support Team USA. He tweeted, “Curling is cool, I Pity The Fool who don’t like Curling! Grrr” on February 20.

Eventually, Kirstie retracted her statement and let her followers know that she’d try liking curling again since her son loves to watch it. She tweeted: “Ok I’m gonna give it another chance! My son loves watching Curling! He doesn’t love figure skating which I do so we can make each other give 2nd chances today!!” She even wished them luck before they compete for the gold medal.
