With fall just around the corner, I find myself spending more and more time thinking about revamping the decoration in my apartment to suit autumn!

Honestly, there are few things more fun than thinking about all the changes to be made once the air-conditioning units are safely stowed back in the closet and all of the summer clothes are packed away again.

It’s all about adding design elements that emphasize the crisp colors of the season — like these pretty fall leaf suncatchers — and celebrates the coziness of crisp, cool nights!

With that in mind, we think we have the perfect project, one that combines twinkling candlelight with homey, rustic elements like Mason jars and scraps of old lace for our Crochet Candle Holders!

  • 3 glass jars
  • 3 doilies
  • Burlap scraps
  • Spray glue
  • Votive candles

  1. Lay your jars out on a protected surface and spray with glue.
  2. Fix one doily onto each jar, folding as needed.
  3. Cut a strip of burlap to the width of the jar’s rim, and wrap around the top of the jar.
  4. Allow glue to dry.
  5. Place candles inside, then light.
  6. Sit back and enjoy!
