Courteney Cox Celebrates 55th Birthday With ‘Friends’ Costars Jennifer Aniston And Lisa Kudrow

by Angela Andaloro

There’s nothing like a birthday to bring longtime friends together! Courteney Cox celebrated her 55th birthday this weekend, and she had her fellow Friends alum on deck.

Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston both celebrated with Courteney, and they gave us major Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe vibes! It’s almost as good as a full-fledged reunion.

Courteney shared a photo from the celebrations on Instagram. In the photo, the trio is cozied up together. In the caption, Courteney wrote, “How lucky am I to celebrate my birthday with these two??? I love you girls. So much ♥️.”

The three have stayed close friends in the 15 years since the Friends finale aired.

It comes as a surprise to some fans, due to the rampant rumors about the discord among the cast that plagued the final years of the show. They couldn’t be more incorrect, however, as the three regularly get together and support each other’s projects.

In the minds of many fans, the cast of Friends will always be quirky 20/30-somethings trying to navigate life and love. Quite a bit of time has passed since the crew hung out in Central Perk, however.

It’s been 15 years since the show has been off the air. Despite rumors that the cast couldn’t get along during filming, many of them are as close as they were when they worked together.

Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox are both active on social media, so we’ve been treated to a lot of sweet reunion photos. It seems the three ladies are the closest of the gang.

Courteney recently celebrated her 55th birthday. Fans everywhere sent her messages, but she was busy celebrating the special occasion with those closest to her.

Courteney’s birthday comes just two days after another special day. Her daughter, Coco, just celebrated her 15th birthday.

After Courteney’s night out, she shared some fun photos of her celebration. Part of Courteney’s birthday squad included her former castmates, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow.

Courteney, Lisa, and Jennifer are still close. They always try to see each other when they have time, and they’re very supportive of each other’s professional projects.

Lisa posted another photo of just her and Courteney. The two suppressed a smile with a teary filter overlaying it.

Missing from the celebration was Courteney’s longtime boyfriend, Johnny McDaid. He’s currently on tour with his band, Snow Patrol.

The photos of the trio together come during a lot of talk about whether or not there should be a Friends reboot. Courteney doesn’t think there’s a good way to do it, telling People, “I just don’t see it happening. Even though I would do anything to be in a room with all of those people acting and having a great time. But I don’t see it happening.”

Jennifer has a different view. During an appearance on Ellen, she said, “Why not? You know what, because, listen, I told you this. I would do it. The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I’m sure.”

Jennifer mentioned that Matt LeBlanc is tired of fielding the question. She did add that she thought he could be talked into it.

David Schwimmer was also skeptical when asked about it in January. “Look, the thing is, I just don’t know if I want to see all of us with crutches [and] walkers. I doubt it — I really doubt it,” he said on Megyn Kelly Today, per People.

Whether the Friends cast reunites on-screen or off, it’s nice to see that their friendships are truly lasting. They’ll be there for each other for many years to come.
