Dan and Lana Weber welcomed five children over the course of their 26-year marriage. But these days, they’re busy parenting nine kids in total.
In November 2017, Lana’s brother Darin took his own life. Five months later, his grieving widow Emilia took her own life, too.
Darin and Emilia’s suicides left their four children — Symphony, Gavin, Halle, and Eva — without parents.
Dan and Lana knew exactly what they needed to do. Without hesitation, they opened their Idaho home to their orphaned nieces and nephews.
Though this family has experienced so much loss and pain in such a short time frame, the Webers say the addition of Symphony, Gavin, Halle, and Eva has been a blessing.
EastIdahoNews.com was so touched by the family’s story that the staff decided to present Dan and Lana with an early holiday gift.
In this video, the news team shows up at the Weber home unannounced and presents this incredible couple with a small and unassuming box… the contents of which left them speechless.
