What’s the secret to staying married for almost 70 years? Matching outfits, of course. Francis and Rosemary Klontz have taken wardrobe styling, and marriage, to a whole nother level.

The couple has been synchronizing their outfits for going on 68 years!

“My mother bought us matching T-shirts when we were in high school – I picked them out — and so we’ve matched ever since,” Rosemary said.

“And I thought she was the cutest little thing,” Francis said. “By the time we were seniors, we started going together.”

Francis and Rosemary first met when they were in junior high school in Auburn, Washington. During their 67 years of happy matrimony, Francis has let Rosemary pick his outfits every single day. “She just lays it out for me, and I don’t have to worry about a thing!” Francis said.

Speaking of being in tune, they also harmonize on vocals. These singing chaplains perform at hospitals, church, and around the house. When asked what the secret to a happy marriage is, Rosemary and Francis seem to be perfectly in sync. “Jesus first, others second, yourself last. That’s the way you spell joy. Jesus and others and you – what a wonderful way to spell joy!” Rosemary sings while Francis lip-syncs in agreement.
