95-Year-Old Grandma Starts Shoveling Snow From Her Driveway All By Herself Until 3 Cops Show Up

It’s that time of year when homeowners need to break out their heavy-duty coats and shovels to clear out the driveway and sidewalks around their houses. It’s something my parents dread every year, and I’m sure they’re not the only ones!

Winter is especially hard on the elderly, who are more likely to get injured when outside in the snow. Falling because of icy conditions can even be deadly.

But this didn’t deter 95-year-old Ann Churchill from trying to clear out her driveway.

Grand Rapids Sgt. Jim Wojczynski was driving by when he saw the elderly woman taking on the task all by herself. He knew it was his duty to step in, so he got out of his patrol car to lend a hand!

That’s when two of his colleagues also passed by. Ann told WXMI that the officers “caught” him during his act of kindness and snapped a photo before getting out to help him.

All three cops took about 45 minutes to clear Ann’s driveway.

The news station interviewed Ann about the sweet gesture, then presented her with a snapshot of the moment. She was so proud, she even hung it on her fridge!

Please SHARE if you’re thankful that police officers care so much about the people and communities they serve!
