We often read stories about animals being trapped or falling into tight spaces that they cannot get out of.

Thankfully, in most situations, a hero is prepped and ready to save the day. Whether it is a Good Samaritan that spotted the animal or a first responder, they’re all lifesavers.

One dog in Florida wound up in a bit of a tight spot, as he fell into a septic tank. All that could be seen was the dog’s head. The rest of his body was submerged under water.

Officers from St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office heard the dog whimpering. When they found him, they realized just how stuck he was.

They canvased the entire neighborhood to find the dog’s owner, but no one came forward. This puppy could have gone to a shelter, but one deputy decided to go above the call of duty.

The puppy was adopted by one of his rescuers and now is living a much more luxurious life. Hopefully this puppy never stumbles upon another septic tank again!
