Construction Worker’s Stepdaughter Delays Adoption For Years, Then He Cries When He Sees Papers

Having parents who care about you is a blessing. There are many children who grow up not knowing a mother or a father, whether he or she is a biological parent or an adoptive one.

Many people argue the person who raised you who counts as a parent, and that it’s not necessarily a person who is related to you through DNA. Many adopted children and kids with stepparents agree: They received unconditional love and affection from someone with no direct relation to them.

But this affection takes time to build, to which Lindsey Collins can attest. Her stepdad, a tough construction worker, came into her life when she was just 9 years old. He took on the challenge without hesitation.

It took them a while to get close, but once they did, the two talked for years about adoption. Nothing came to fruition until recently, when she finally presented him with the papers he had been waiting for.

In the clip below, the dad is so touched by Lindsey’s gesture that he starts crying. She says this is the first time she’s ever seen him bawl so hard!

You can watch the touching footage below. Only a real dad would react that way!

Please SHARE if you know Lindsey and her dad will make many more happy memories together!
