Constance Tillit is 80 years old but she isn’t your average grandma. Recently, her husband, the love of her life, passed away causing Constance to make some big changes in her life.
She decided to go to the gym, but not any gym, CrossFit. Known for its intense workout regimens, including high interval intensity training, Olympic weightlifting and gymnastics, it’s hard to believe that it would be accessible to an 80-year-old woman.
However, Constance has been through a lot. She lost her beloved beau, has had two knee rplacements, two hip replacements and two rotator cuff surgeries.
With CrossFit, will and determination, Constance has managed to lose 50 lbs. in 10 months.
“Get up and do it,” she says. “Stop with the whining, stop with the ‘oh you have to take care of me.’ Take care of yourself,” Constance says.
Although she misses her husband dearly, she believes he is still with her, and continues to work out to honor his memory.
