Poor animals — sometimes the world can be a confusing place for them.

There are so many sights, smells, and confusing human constructs to consider. How is a poor pet supposed to keep up with all of it?

One of the most confusing-yet-entertaining concepts for pets is toys.

We buy toys so we can play with our pets, but they usually just serve as plushy punching bags — or prey.

Dogs rip apart chew toys while cats bat at toy mice or fuzz balls on a string. But it seems to give them pleasure, so the violent toy-cycle continues.

The poor parrot in the clip below is most definitely not enjoying his new toys, which look almost exactly like him.

The colorful bird’s owner received interactive tabletop birds, called DigiBirds, and decided to see how the pet would react to them.

The plastic parrots move their heads and chirp similar to their living, breathing counterparts. But the real bird is definitely not amused.

Completely dumbfounded, he proceeds to peck at the toys until neither is left standing. He is not going to let these strange birds just sit around with their weird noises!

Though the poor parrot is definitely distressed, his reaction to the toys is pretty comical.
