Anja was playing with her pet cockatoo Harley on June 14, 2017, when a thistle seed found its way into the bird’s play area.

Being curious, Harley stopped playing with her toy and inspected the strange object that had blown her way.

Luckily, Anja got the entire interaction on camera.

In the clip below, Harley sees the seed and tries picking it up. Once successful, she puts the seed in her mouth and spits it out. However, her curiosity doesn’t end there. The cockatoo continues picking the seed up and throwing it into the air like a game of catch.

When she goes back to playing with her toy, she looks to be keeping one eye on the foreign object as if it’s going to attack her at any moment!

As the thistle seed blows over her talon, she seems to disapprovingly look at it before quickly picking it up again and tearing it apart with her beak and talons.

It seems this isn’t the first time that Harley has destroyed something in her path: she’s also knocked down stacks of multicolored bricks! According to her owner, Harley has a fun time checking out her reflection in the mirror while she plays.
