Nervous Teen Tenses Up On Stage, But When Simon Hears The First Note, He Can’t Keep It Together

by Jess Butler
Jess is a curly-haired Jersey girl who adores penguins and watches the worst reality shows on TV.

When Christian Guardino first stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage, he had a hard time shaking off his nerves. As a boy, he was told he would be blind. But after gene therapy, his sight became his first miracle, the second being his voice.

In the video below, posted on June 13, 2017, the 16-year-old singer introduces himself and admits, “I’m nervous.”

Then, Simon continues asking him questions, attempting to soothe the tense teen’s visible anxiety.

“I have a good feeling about you. We’ve gotten rid of the nerves now, we got to know each other, right?” Simon asks Christian.

The teen agrees and prepares to sing in front of millions. Will his voice be worthy of the coveted Golden Buzzer?

Suddenly, with the first note, Simon’s eyes widen and he can’t seem to keep it together during the performance. In fact, all four judges as well as the audience can’t believe the voice coming out of Christian’s mouth.

When Christian finishes singing “Who’s Lovin’ You” by the Jackson 5, Simon says, “Christian, I need ten seconds here because I actually don’t know what to say right now.”

Clearly the 16-year-old’s voice makes a massive impact on all the judges — so much so that Howie leaps up and slams the Golden Buzzer for the young singer.

This is something you’ll definitely want to see for yourself.
