In my mind, there is no dessert more scrumptious than a chocolate cookie.

Whether sweet, mild, or bitter, chocolate can easily stand alone as a delicious dessert. But when combined with other ingredients — like nuts, butterscotch, and even peppermint, as in these delicious mint chocolate chip cookies — chocolate is easily one of the best tastes in the world!

But in a wonderful recipe below, we bring chocolate to a whole new level with these rich and delicious chocolate crackle cookies!

Made in three quick steps, these festive little cookies are great for the holidays and beyond. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • powdered sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. Add cake mix, eggs, and oil into a bowl. Mix well into a batter.
  3. Measure batter into tablespoon-sized balls. Generously coat with powdered sugar.
  4. Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  5. Let cool, and enjoy!

If you love your cookies a little undercooked, bake them for eight minutes. If you love a softer, cake-like texture, bake them for a little longer.
