Waiting in a drive-thru line can be such a hassle. Fast food is supposed to be fast, but sometimes we’re waiting forever!

When Cameron Nelson went to Chick-fil-A, he was met with a very long line in the drive-thru. Rather than sit in his car and wait or leave completely, he decided to head inside to make his order.

Cameron was probably thinking about exactly which meal he wanted to order. Maybe he was wondering what size he wanted his drink. He couldn’t have expected to meet the young man behind the counter.

When he approached the register, he was surprised to find a teenager in a sling and neck brace, taking orders and working the machine.

After meeting Jakeem Tyler, Cameron shared the heartwarming story and it spread quickly across the internet.

When Cameron Nelson arrived at a Chick-fil-A in Indianapolis, IN, the line outside the building was very long.

Instead of driving off and coming back at another time, he went inside to order his food.

But when he got to the register, he saw that the young cashier was in a neck brace and a sling.

After the young man, Jakeem Tyler, was kind and courteous while taking his order, Cameron asked what happened to him. Jakeem said he’d been in a car accident a few days before.

Cameron shared the entire encounter with the popular Facebook page Love What Matters to raise awareness for Jakeem’s work ethic and kind heart.

He is calling for the company to acknowledge Jakeem and hopes they will match the donations he is raising on Jakeem’s behalf.

The post on Love What Matter’s Facebook page had over 97,000 likes and 10,000 shares in less than 24 hours.

Many commenters are praising Jakeem for his hard work and hope that Chick-fil-A will acknowledge him for his dedication to their company, as well as his kindness this Christmas season.

Some commenters wondered whether Jakeem is receiving paid time off, but other commenters said Chick-fil-A has a great paid time off system, and that Jakeem most likely chose to work after his injury because he is committed to his goal of helping others.

If you want to help Cameron raise money for Jakeem’s cause, you can donate to the GoFundMe page here!
