The words “my heart will go on” first came out of Céline Dion’s mouth in 1997 when Titanic hit theaters (and that pesky iceberg), and nearly 20 years later, the pop superstar is sticking to that mantra.
The 51-year-old singer recently sat down with Good Morning America to discuss some of the big changes in her life right now, including wrapping up her Las Vegas residency, which is ending in June 2019 after over 1,100 shows. Céline also just celebrated her 51st birthday in March.
When asked about turning 51, she admitted, “I feel stronger, more beautiful, more grounded.” And when asked about her “thinner” appearance, Céline also had no problem shutting down rumors that there was something going on with her.
“I’m thin. I’m kind, too, you know,” she quipped. “It’s true that I’m a little thinner. Everything is fine and nothing is wrong. I have discovered a new passion… dancing!”
So what’s next for the mom of three? She’s currently working on a new studio album and planning a tour. She also filmed a bit with James Corden for The Late Late Show where they hilariously re-created the iconic, “I’m flying, Jack!” scene from Titanic on a much smaller boat while cruising through the Bellagio fountains. Does this woman ever sleep?
Anyways, Céline Dion ended the GMA segment by admitting that nearly three years after husband René Angélil’s death, she’s finally “in love” again. Check out the video below to see who she’s head over heels for.
