Have you ever been in line at the supermarket or grocery store and found that the person in front of you is taking longer than expected? Perhaps they have a lot of things to buy, or they don’t have exact change to pay with.

I’ve seen situations in which people have gotten impatient. Usually, it’s individuals waiting in line, a few times even the cashier has let out an exasperated sigh or two.

Rarely does anyone put themselves in the shoes of the person just trying to pay.

But in the video below, an interaction between customer and cashier was captured at Walmart — and the moment was so heartwarming that it instantly went viral on Facebook.

Spring Bowlin was shopping at a Walmart in Mississippi when she got to the line to pay. She noticed an older gentleman trying to pay in front of her. The cashier gave him the total and, to her surprise, the man looked back at Spring.

He had an apologetic look on his face.

Then, he started removing handfuls of change from his pocket to pay.

“He miscounts and starts to get flustered, gives me a muttered, ‘I’m so sorry.’ His hands and voice are shaking,” Spring recalled.

And that’s when the cashier stepped in: “This beautiful cashier takes his hands and dumps all the change on the counter and says, ‘This is not a problem, honey. We will do this together.'”
