It’s been a wild year for Carrie Underwood. After a spill at the end of 2017 landed her a broken wrist and required over 40 stitches in her face, the country singer spent most of the year recovering.
She also was in the studio working on her new album Cry Pretty, set to be released September 14. A single by the same name was unveiled when Carrie returned to the spotlight and performed it on the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards in April. It’s not the last time you’ll see the American Idol alum at an award show this year. She’ll be returning to her hosting gig at the Country Music Association Awards alongside Brad Paisley on November 14.
Today, Carrie announced the Cry Pretty Tour 360, with dates ranging from May to October 2019.
Maddie & Tae and Runaway June will join Carrie on the tour. Carrie knew fans would speculate about why the tour dates wouldn’t start for so long, so she took the opportunity to announce some other very big news! Carrie and her husband of eight years, Mike Fisher, are expecting a baby! The couple already has a 3-year-old son, Isaiah Michael.
Carrie was excited to reveal the news in an Instagram post. “You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?’ Well … yay!” The camera panned out to reveal balloons spelling out “BABY” over the country star’s head!
It’s easy to see that the country star is over the moon to be expanding her brood. “This has just been a dream come true with album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited and just so glad you guys can share in this with us and be a part of this with us. Love you guys! We will see you on the road in 2019.”
We can’t wait to see how cute Carrie and Mike’s next bundle of joy will be!
