It’s official — Cardi B is a mom! The 25-year-old rapper welcomed a baby girl with her husband, Offset, on July 10, 2018.
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, rose to fame on the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: New York. In 2017, she signed with Atlantic Records, and she has since become an international superstar. Her singles “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It” have both been No. 1 singles on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Her husband, Offset, is part of the hip-hop trio Migos, along with Quavo and Takeoff. Some of their hit songs include “Bad and Boujee,” “MotorSport,” “Stir Fry,” and “Walk It Talk It.”
Cardi B announced she was expecting her first child when she performed on Saturday Night Live on April 7, 2018. Although she had publicly gotten engaged to Offset in October 2017, she later revealed that they had actually gotten married in secret a month before their engagement. Offset has three other children from previous relationships.
For the past few months, Cardi B has been sharing her pregnancy with the world. She regularly posted pictures and updates on her social media accounts, keeping fans up-to-date on her baby.
On July 11, Cardi B took to Instagram to reveal that she had given birth to a sweet baby girl. They named her Kulture Kiari Cephus. The newborn’s middle name is actually her father’s given name. Offset was actually born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, so his daughter’s name reflects his own.
As soon as Cardi B announced her daughter’s arrival on Instagram, fans immediately flooded her comments with congratulations. One follower wrote, “Congrats mama! Sending love to you and princess!” Another person said, “Happy birthday Kulture! Welcome to the world!”
The new parents haven’t shared any pictures of their baby girl yet, but hopefully they’ll introduce her soon. Congratulations, Cardi B and Offset!
