Jess grew up in Oklahoma before moving to New York to become a writer. She has a cat named Agnes.

As someone who has been in her fair share of fender benders, I know how much auto repair costs can pile up. After seeing the DIY attempts below, I’m glad I never got inspired to fix my vehicles on my own.

That’s because I certainly wouldn’t be able to do much better than these car fails if I tried tackling the dents and broken bits of an automobile.

You have to give some of them a little credit for at least getting creative with their hilarious “hacks” at solving issues ranging from a missing bumper to a dented door or a busted A/C.

But for the most part, they all make me worry about not only the safety of those traveling within the vehicles, but other folks out on the road with them.
