Lori Loughlin reportedly won’t return for the final season of Fuller House. That doesn’t mean her on-screen family has forgotten about her, however.
Costars Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin recently appeared on Today. The pair were on the show to face off against Growing Pains stars Kirk Cameron (Candace’s brother) and Tracey Gold in a game. Before that began, Hoda Kotb asked the ladies if they had any comments on Lori and the college admissions scandal.
Lori was arrested and accused of paying $500,000 to get her two daughters into the University of Southern California. The girls were allegedly positioned as athletes who rowed crew despite the fact that neither girl participated in the sport.
Lori first appeared in court in relation to the charges earlier this week.
Candace and Jodie kept cool, with Candace taking the reins. She explained that the situation was hard for them to discuss because of the close bond they have with Lori. “It’s too personal to us,” Candace told Hoda. “I’ve already said that we are family.”
This confirms what many believed to be the first statement made by costars about the situation a few weeks ago. While accepting a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for Fuller House, Candace spoke about family sticking together through good times and bad. Now we know that while Lori’s fate is uncertain in many areas, she will always have her castmates to lean on.
