Internet Slams Caitlyn Jenner For ‘Ignorant’ Malibu Mansion Pic In Wake Of CA Fire Devastation

by Giovanna Boldrini
Giovanna was born in Rome, Italy and currently resides in South Salem, New York. In her free time, she likes to cook with her children and grandchildren.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, you know who Caitlyn Jenner is. The former Olympian, who was married to Kris Jenner for 24 years, came out as transgender in 2015.

Most people know that Caitlyn lives in a beautiful home in Malibu, California, as she posts pictures of the stunning view of the ocean from her backyard pretty frequently. Unfortunately, Malibu was one of the cities hit hardest by the recent California wildfires, and many of the city’s residents, including celebs like Miley Cyrus and Gerard Butler, lost their homes.

Caitlyn recently posted another stunning photo of the view of the ocean from inside her house, captioning it, “This is the reason we live in Malibu. So lucky our home made it. We are praying for everyone’s quick recovery #blessed.”

Instagram users quickly attacked Caitlyn for the “ignorant” photo, with one user commenting, “Your house burnt down but mine didn’t 🙂 – standard tone deaf Kardashian/Jenner sm post. They never get it quite right…”

This is Caitlyn Jenner. You probably know her from a little show called Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

She’s an outdoor enthusiast, and by the looks of it, her pup is, too!

She also gets down with holiday decorating, which I respect.

Caitlyn clearly likes to travel. Who hasn’t taken a picture by one of the red phone booths while in London?

Caitlyn is also fairly close with her youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner.

Caitlyn was also pretty close with her stepdaughter, Kim. Here she wished her a happy birthday on Instagram a couple years ago.

She’s wildly supportive of all her kids, including her model-daughter Kendall Jenner.

Caitlyn also resides in Malibu, California — a city that was tremendously affected by the recent Woolsey Fire.

She recently posted this picture of the gorgeous view from her Malibu home.

However, the caption she wrote with it sent Instagram users into a straight-up tizzy, given how many of the city’s homes were destroyed by the devastating wildfires.

One Instagram user called the LGBTQ advocate’s post “ignorant.”

Another questioned her use of the word “luck” and gave her a lesson on privilege.

One user thinks Caitlyn’s caption and picture combo is just “too soon.”

However, one user came to her defense and sent out prayers to everyone affected.

What do you think of Caitlyn Jenner’s post?
