If you have a cat as a member of your family, you probably already know that they have a habit of squeezing their way into the most unexpected places.

Even if your little fur baby isn’t a stealthy ninja, you can check out any number of internet cats who have managed to get themselves into all kinds of mischief.

One cat in Northern Ireland got himself into quite the scary situation when he managed to wedge himself into the brick walls of a new house that was being constructed.

The incredible rescue took place on June 13, 2017 in Carrickfergus, a town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. A video taken by the builder who found and retrieved the tiny cat was shared on June 19, 2017.

In the video, you can see the cat trying desperately to make his way out of the tiny space between the bricks — but he can’t do it. At least not on his own. How on earth he even managed to get in there to begin with is a total mystery.

Luckily, the builder heard the cat meowing and realized he was trapped in between the brickwork. The builder got his drill and began drilling holes in the wall.

“Now, what are we going to do with you? What were you doing in there? God almighty,” the builder says to the cat in the video.

Thankfully, this story has a happy ending: The cat’s owner saw the builder’s video on Facebook and was “delighted” to get their lost cat back.

You have to see this rescue for yourself — and the sweet moment that the newfound friends shared after the cat’s escape!
