Love a good fixer-upper? Look no further than this DIY project from crafting guru, Mona. In the following video, Mona documents her latest “Garbage to Gorgeous” — a bathroom makeover on a tight budget.
Her challenge was to make-over an unattractive, poorly-functioning bathroom with little funds and using whatever paint she had leftover. But as you’ll see, it’s way easier than you’d think. “It’s amazing what you can do on a budget,” she says.
First of all, the bathroom was full of plumbing issues, with patches of drywall messily removed to try and mend the leaks. Inside the tub, there was a huge cut-out within the acrylic liner. There was chipping paint and mismatching colors.
Frankly, the space was pretty darn ugly. Mona wanted to create a functioning bathroom that also looked and felt nice.
After beginning the makeover, Mona headed to Goodwill to find cute bathroom accessories, which she coated with black spray paint. “It’s so easy to make odds and ends look like they go together, with a little paint!”
Just wait until you see the before-and-after shot. Just a few simple upgrades can make a world of difference — even if you don’t have a lot of money to work with. Mona has definitely inspired me to make a few quick fixes in my own home. Please enjoy this awesome time lapse makeover, and SHARE this with your friends on Facebook!
